Ché completed his undergraduate degree at Oxford Brookes University in Geology & Cartography before enrolling at Camborne School of Mines where he completed his Masters degree in Mining Geology. Following completion of his thesis based at the Shangani Nickel mine, Zimbabwe, Ché was assigned his first exploration campaign through CSMA Consultants on behalf of First Quantum Minerals on their newly acquired Bwana Mkubwa Project in Zambia. This was followed by a 2-year exploration stint in Oman on behalf of ‘National Mining Company’ (now Mawarid Mining) focussed on copper and gold and the Washihi Project. Since 2005 Ché has been an international mining consultant and exposed to an array of mineral projects around the globe involving numerous commodities including precious and base metals, including critical minerals, as well as industrial minerals (including graphite, potash, and phosphate). The work has involved the review and design of exploration programmes, mineral resource estimation and QA/QC audits, technical due diligence, Scoping Studies and Preliminary Economic Assessments to Feasibility Studies, Competent Person’s Reports, NI 43-101 Technical Reports, and peer review.
Recent and ongoing project work includes greenfield exploration in Mongolia, a Preliminary Economic Assessment on a lithium Project in the Balkans, Fe-ore studies in Brazil and Spain, a Feasibility Study on a base metals project in the Balkans, a Due Diligence and Valuation of a Pt/Pd Project in Zimbabwe, Scoping and Prefeasibility Study on two copper projects in Kazakhstan.
